Dr. Stephen Labbe

"I genuinely appreciate the trust my patients and their families place in me for their or their children's orthodontic care. As a husband,  father, and former orthodontic patient myself I understand the impact orthodontic treatment can have on the lives of our patients and their families.  I appreciate the commitment necessary from the patients and parents in order to achieve the smile they deserve.  I have wanted to be an Orthodontist since I was in 8^th grade and I consider it a blessing that my profession has provided me the skill set necessary to transform the smiles of my patients and the opportunity to develop lasting relationships with their families."

Dr. Stephen Labbe graduated from the University of Connecticut in 1983 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology and a minor in biochemistry. He then went on to receive a Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) from Howard University and completed his General Practice Residency in West Haven, CT, while taking additional courses at Yale University. Dr. Labbe then completed his Masters Thesis in the Comparison of Bonding Materials.

By staying on top of the most recent technology and procedures, Dr. Labbe is able to give his patients the very best orthodontic treatment available.  He continues to study the latest advances in Dentistry through membership in the following organizations:

• Anne Arundel County Dental Society

• Southern Maryland Dental Society

• Bowie/Crofton Dental Study Club

• Bi-County Dental Study Club

• Annapolis Dental Study Club

Dr. Stephen Labbe is also a member of numerous Orthodontic organizations, including the American Association of Orthodontists as well as the prestigious Schulman Group, a national organization comprised of the top 125 Orthodontic practices in North America.  He was on staff at Prince Georges Hospital and taught in the Dental Residency Program for 10 years.  He is also recognized as an Elite Invisalign Provider placing Stewart and Labbe Orthodontics in the Top 1% of all Invisalign Providers.

Dr. Labbe lives in Annapolis with his wife and their 2 children. They love doing everything together except when he is  cheering  for the Dallas Cowboys, the Boston Redsox or the UCONN Huskies.  If any of "his" team loose, he is apparently a little difficult to live with!

Dr. Julie Langguth

"I am so excited to have joined Stewart and Labbe Orthodontics.  I grew up in sunny south Florida and my husband, Devin, is from northern Minnesota.  Devin is a Naval Academy alumn and we are excited to be back in the middle- Annapolis!  You may see us running around downtown, as we are both avid runners and love to watch sports and to wakeboard.  I look forward to working together with you as we go on the journey of creating your new beautiful smile!"

Dr. Julie Langguth grew up in Fort Lauderdale Florida and graduated suma cum laude from Florida Atlantic Univeristy with a B.S. in Biology. She received her D.M.D. from Nova Southeastern University, graduating in the top 5% of her class and received her certificate in Orthodontics as well as her Masters from the University of Maryland, Baltimore.

She has also completed two fellowships at the National Institutes of Health in the National Institute of Dental and Craniofacial Research in Bethesda, Maryland studying TMJ disorders and craniofacial growth.

Dr. Langguth is very passionate about orthodontics and is dedicated to providing a beautiful smile along with a functional bite to all her patients. She takes numerous continuing education courses throughout the year to learn the best and newest techniques in orthodontic treatment.

Dr. Langguth was married to Devin Langguth in 2010. Devin is a 2001 alumni of the United States Naval Academy (Go Navy!) and they are thrilled to be back in Annapolis. They both love to run road races, wakeboard and are big sports fans. .

Dr. Vincent Mascia

"As an orthodontist, I’ve had a lot of fun treating many patients in a wide spectrum of practice settings from 5^th Avenue in the Big Apple to the mission field in developing countries.  I feel a smile can transcend any language barrier and is worth a thousand words.  Being at Stewart and Labbe Orthodontics has given me my own great reason to smile!"

Dr. Vincent Mascia hails from the Jersey Shore.  From a young age, he excelled in academics as well athletics.  He attended college at the University of Virginia where he participated and coached on the fencing team.  Dr. Mascia also earned his Masters in Public Health at the University of Virginia. He went on to attend dental school at Columbia University where he also earned his certificate in orthodontics.  Dr. Mascia received Columbia’s highest award for excellence in orthodontics and was an adjunct professor at the university for 25 years.  He also earned an M.B.A. from the University of Cambridge.

Dr. Mascia has been the official dentist for the DC United soccer team, as well as one of the dentists for the U.S.A.’s 2010 World Cup Soccer Team.  He has treated patients on the mission field, in Virginia with the Mission of Mercy and has also served the underprivileged in Haiti, Guatemala, Mexico and Costa Rica.

He has served as the American Dental Association’s Congressional Fellow and as a member of the U.S. Senate Congressional staff on the Finance Committee.

In his spare time, Dr. Mascia enjoys skiing, scuba diving and boating.  He also enjoys travel and has visited 32 countries.

Patti Hopkins, Treatment Coordinator

Hi, my name is Patti and I have been a Treatment Coordinator with Stewart and Labbe Orthodontics since 2003. My daughter, Brittney, was a patient here and it was during her treatment that I fell in love with the practice. I enjoy coming to work each day, seeing the people that I am friends with and helping patients get the smile they’ve always dreamed of. I have a yorkie named “Towson”, after my daughter’s college. When I am not working I love spending time at the beach, going boating and being with my friends and family. I am also a HUGE RAVEN’S FAN!! I look forward to meeting you soon!

Front Desk Staff

Hi, I am Jennifer C. My husband and I live in Crofton with our two cute and rowdy Jack Russell’s.  Things will be crowded soon though as we are expecting our first baby this winter.  I have lived in this area all of my life and was fortunate enough to marry my high school sweetheart!  I have been with Stewart and Labbe for over 5 years and LOVE seeing my patients throughout the course of their treatment.  It’s so fun to compare their before and after smiles!  I am so proud to be a part of their transformation...not just in their smiles, but in their lives. 

Hi!  I am Janice and you can find me at the front desk!  I live in Bowie with my husband, Jeff.  Together we have two boys, one living in Pittsburgh and the other in Baltimore.  I joined the Stewart and Labbe Family in March of 2010 and have been loving every minute of it since.  It’s a fantastic group to work with and we love to have fun!  I look forward to meeting you and your family. 

Clinical Staff

How are you?!  I’m Kelly H. and am also a clinical coordinator.  I have been with the Stewart and Labbe team since 1997.  I was also a patient as a child.  I am very fortunate to have joined the wonderful practice that helped build my self confidence with a beautiful smile!  I was born and raised in Annapolis.  I have a beautiful daughter named Landon and a Yorkie named Reesce...aka ‘Pup’.  When I am not working I enjoy shopping, traveling, dancing and spending time with my friends and family.  I look forward to many more years to come with Drs. Stewart and Labbe and hope to have the opportunity to meet you!

Hi!  I am Patty!  I have enjoyed being with the practice for over 20 years now.  I live in my own slice of heaven on the Eastern Shore.  In my spare time I volunteer for my favorite cause, the Humane Society.  I also love to bike and kayak all over the shore.  Working on patients is such a joy for me.  It’s fun to get to know the families that come in and be there as their smile transforms.  We all look forward to seeing you soon!

Hello, I’m Kelley. I have enjoyed spending the last 12 years with Stewart & Labbe Orthodontics helping to create beautiful smiles and more self confident people. Hi, My name is Kiki!  I have worked as an orthodontic assistant with Stewart and Labbe since 2003.  I absolutely love what I do.  I enjoy the new and old faces I see everyday and their funny stories they have to tell.  I adore my family here at work...they have been here for me in the best and worst times of my life.  I’m blessed to be the mother of 4 beautiful children and a wife of a very loving and supportive husband.  They all keep my life very busy, interesting and LIVELY to say the least!  At the end of the day, I wouldn’t have it any other way.

My name is Jason and I have been with Stewart and Labbe as a clinical assistant since 2005.  I’m a HUGE Capitals and Redskins fan.  My wife and I have a baby girl named Aubrey who just lights up my whole world!  I enjoy playing soccer and golf.  I love my job and look forward to meeting all of our patients. 

Hi!  I’m Courtney!  Since 2006 I have been a member of the Stewart and Labbe team.  I am a huge people person and I also enjoy helping people; so for me this place is the perfect way for me to have the best of both worlds.  When I am not at work assisting in the beautiful art of orthodontics, I can be found spending time with my loving family.  In my off time I enjoy cooking, watching movies and traveling.  And by the way...GO RAVENS!!

Hey There!  My name is Brittany and I have been part of the Stewart and Labbe family since 2006.  I was born and raised on Kent Island.  I love anything that has to do with boating, seafood and sports!  I now live in Annapolis with my boyfriend, Blake, and our son, Braedon...who is growing up way too fast!  I look forward to meeting you and helping throughout your treatment.

My name is Jenell!  I have been with the practice since 2010.  I have a  beautiful daughter named Olivia and a little yorkie named Ed.  In my position here at Stewart and Labbe, I am one of the first persons that our new patients meet when they come in for their very first appointment.  In my off time, I travel in the cheerleading circuit with my daughter who loves to compete!  And...we LOVE to cheer for the REDSKINS!!

Hi my name is Samantha!  I have been an orthodontic assistant off and on for 7 years.  I have been with the S&L team for 3 months and love it.  I have lived in Pasadena my whole life and I am a huge animal lover.  I have been riding horses since I was 8 years old and I also recently adopted a beagle named Lilly.  She is the best dog EVER.  I also love to cook and bake for my friends and family and they love being my taste testers.  I look forward to many more years here at S&L and all the happy faces and smiles :)

Office Staff

Hi there! I am Jessie Ewald, the Financial Coordinator for the practice. I joined Dr. Stewart and Dr. Labbe in 1998 where I began at the front desk and have worked several different positions that have led to me my current role. I truly enjoy this practice and have since the beginning. A great place to call “home”!

I live in Arnold with my wonderful husband Bryan and our beautiful boys, Aidan and Julian. Spending time with my family and friends is one of my favorite things to do and usually involves food, wine and music!  I also enjoy watching my talented husband play music when I am fortunate enough to get out to see him.

I work in the financial office at S&L. I have been here almost 10 years. I Started out at the front desk and moved to the financial office about 7 years ago. When I am not at work I enjoy spending time with my family, going to the gym and riding my motorcycle. I have 2 children ages 2 and 19. We also have two dogs. We love to cookout and spend time outdoors (except in the winter brrrrrr).

My name is Nikki!  You will most likely see me in the Crofton/Gambrills location plugging away on some new contest or idea to make your time at Stewart and Labbe Orthodontics more fun!  I’m always on the look out for new things to do and learn when it comes to marketing.  I am married to the love of my life, Karl, and together we live in Pasadena.  When the weather is warm we are out on our boat enjoying life on the bay with our dog, Van.  I also enjoy time with my family and friends and planning for our first baby who is on the way!  I’ve been with Stewart and Labbe since 2004 and feel very fortunate to have a job that I truly enjoy.
